Sold. Avocado. Oil on canvas panel 5” x 5”

today’s painting is about avocado - one of my favorite fruit. Its so much fun to paint it and mix the colors! love that pale green and brownish orange pit. I’ve been thinking about painting avocado for quite some time and finally saved a half for the painting :). I just love this fruit !

sold - Rouge Coco. Oil on canvas panel 6”x6”

Today I decided to paint my favorite lipstick. One of those days with sudden ideas on choosing a subject matter for a painting. I was organizing my make up pouch and the shape and the colors of the lipstick looked just right and fun to paint. :)

sold - Lime. Oil on canvas panel 5x5 inches

I was in a grocery store looking for limes and lemons for a new cocktail recipe I’ve got from a friend who travels the world and always brings new recipes to try and experiment with new ingredients. I found this beautiful lime , so fresh and colorful, and the shape was just perfect to paint! So I painted the lime first and will be experimenting with the new recipe today :).

A slightly smaller size of the canvas then usual. I normally paint on 6x6 canvases but I decided to add a few paintings done on 5x5 inch canvases to my fruit painting series. the painting process took just as long and was just as much fun painting this adorable lime.

Sold - Shoe Lover. Oscar de la Renta Wedding Shoe. Oil on linen 7”x5”

Another addition to the series of shoe paintings, this time it’s a beautiful Oscar de la Renta wedding shoe - Light pink satin shoes with satin bow and crystal detail.
It took me quite a few hours to finish this painting. I have to say that, depending on medium and technique, shoes can be a pretty challenging subject matter to paint and these gorgeous D’Orsay pumps are one of those. the point of focus is certainly the satin bow with rhinestone brooch where the eye lands first and moves up towards the heel, and down to the tip of the heels returning to the satin bow.  I just love these shoes, the color, the shape and how beautifully they translated into this small painting.  I did enjoy painting them and will certainly continue to expand the collection :)

Sold- Lemon. Oil. Gallery wrapped canvas 6”x6”x1.5”

I have received emails asking if I did similar series of kitchen art paintings on gallery wrapped/stretched canvas. Some art collectors like paintings displayed unframed and stretched canvas is the best support to display without a frame. I chose canvas with a wide 1.5 inch frame profile which allows to display paintings as hung on the wall so placed on a table top or a shelf. so many possibilities to decorate our kitchens :)
Lemon is my second painting on gallery wrapped canvas 6x6x1.5. The first painting of a blue plum you can view in my Etsy gallery.
I hope you will enjoy the painting and the first weekend in August!
