A scene from the old Russian village. Painted on gallery wrapped canvas 12” x 16” x 1”
I was so happy to find this beautiful fruit in our local market again this year, which is very rare and hard to find. Quince has a very interesting shape, something between a pear and an apple, and strong fragrant aroma, unlike any other fruit. Some of my friends have never heard about quince and were asking me to compare the taste and flavor to any other fruit known to them but I was unable to find any to match quince even slightly. I guess it is so unique :).
this is one of my new paintings featuring Quince, and a new addition to the series of small 6x6 “kitchen art” paintings.
