Old Gazebo at Rehoboth Beach. Oil on canvas panel 6x8 inches

the moment I saw this old gazebo on the bay at Rehoboth Beach, DE where I spent last week with my son, I knew I wanted to paint it. White sand dunes , old pier, the beautiful beaches..all so inspiring to paint..Old Gazebo is my first painting from the trip to Dewey/Rehoboth and I am planning to do a few more referencing my sketches and photos I took. I hope you will enjoy the painting and have a lovely day!

Sunflowers. Oil on linen 7x5

 Buy on Etsy

SunflowersSunflowers Framed (2)

Sunflowers is my new painting this week. Painted on linen panel 7x5. I bought these beautiful flowers to paint. The minute I saw them yesterday in the flower isle of the market, I knew I wanted to paint them.  I am officially in my second week of the rehab treating calcific tendonitis in the right shoulder  and it’s my “painting arm” :) It started almost a month and a half ago. Partially lost motion and  a pretty sharp, constant pain been hard to deal with, but I still paint…:)

Pomegranate and Pear. Oil on linen 8x8 inches

 Buy on Etsy

Still life with pink pomegranate and green pear with leaf.

I was shopping for groceries yesterday when I saw these beautiful poms and pears, exactly what I needed for a painting I had in mind. I needed a few small poms and have been looking for the ones with the crowns on or, at least, partial crowns, and I finally found them! very beautiful, pink color summer poms from Peru, which are awesome to paint but too sour to eat..:) I also couldn’t resist purchasing two beautiful Bartlett pears with leaves when I saw them.   I painted this painting the same evening and am almost finished with the composition for a larger painting with pomegranates. Cant wait to start it. I hope you’ll enjoy this painting and have a wonderful week! ~

Still Life with Tiffany&Co Blue Gift Boxes, Shopping Bag and a Pouch. there is so much I could tell about this painting and how much I loved painting this blue set, from setting up the composition to mixing the beautiful blue colors. Setting up the composition took some time. I wanted to make the painting interesting to the viewer, enjoy the color, shape, texture, lights and shadows and at the same time wonder what’s inside the boxes :)
