The painting features Italian baby eggplant and sugar snap peas I purchased from the local market and was so attracted to the color and shape that decided to put together this funny composition and painted from life. Lemons with Leaf - alla prima , done on canvas texture gesso board 6x6x3/8 inches. Very interesting support to paint on. So much different from the usual gesso panels. But can make a slight difference to the overall picture look as you can see the "canvas texture" through yet the paint doesnt look dull as it happens with regular canvas and  the colors remain vibrant and truer. This is also one of those paintings when taking a good picture takes dozens of shots due to high glare:-).

The painting can be framed or displayed as is. The back of the board has a keyhole hanger to display the painting without framing it.

Todays paintings is about a sweet , yellow bell pepper. Rich and vibrant color, shape and texture are all so amazing about these little chubby peppers.  I really enjoyed painting it and will definitely continue painting bell peppers. I don’t really eat this fruit-vegetable but I bought them in all colors available: red, yellow, green and orange, just to paint :) . Please enjoy the painting and have a great day!
