Three Lemons is my second painting this week. Painted on 6x8 inch canvas panel from life. my friends have been asking if lemons were my favorite subject matter to paint because i paint them more often then any other fruit, I guess..:)  I would say yes, there is something special about lemons , I like the color, shape and texture... these three lemons I selected purposely for this painting, looking for different shapes and size to make the painting interesting.  I hope you enjoy the painting and have a lovely rest of the week!

Sold - Lemon Slice and Silver Bowl. Oil on canvas 6” x 6”

Such a small study with silver sugar bowl and a slice of lemon. the main focus was on the lemon slice and the light. the photo of the painting is not the best but the best I could do. One of my friends  commented on the painting and said that the sugar bowl looked cute and happy , as if it was frozen in motion , stepping towards the lemon :). Now that she said that, I smile every time I look at the painting :)
