I have to tell you that as much as I love raspberries ( to paint and to eat :)), I don’t paint them as often as any other fruit or berry. And the reason to that is that raspberries are pretty challenging to paint, especially as a single subject and as up close as I chose to do most of my 6x6 paintings. So, this is my painting of a cute little raspberry “born in July”  , sweet and juicy, ready to display :-).

The painting features a silver tone candy vase and three red strawberries. The focal point in this painting is the vase and the largest strawberry

to the right from the vase. To my opinion, silver and red make a beautiful combination, the bluish highlights of the metal so well complementing the dark reds.

The painting was done on gesso board with a canvas-like texture 6x12x1/4 inches. The painting can be displayed without a frame ( keyhole hanger on the back of the board).

Still Life with Red Delicious Apple. This is one of my favorite apples to paint due to it’s beautiful rich crimson color and the bluish dust around the stem. For today’s painting I have selected the most colorful Red Delicious I could find, with spots of scarlet, yellow and orange.  Such a happy red summer apple! :)

Daily painting – Blushing Pear done on canvas panel 6x6”. Such a rainbow of colors in this pear! I love finding colorful, bright fruit to paint and this pear was one of those findings. So much fun mixing and experimenting with paints!
